EMILY MCGUIRE
PROJECT PLANNER
Emily joined the MA team in December of 2021 as our in-house planner and land use expert. She enjoys working hard on behalf of our clients to advance projects forward through complex regulatory environments. Her work experience in the land use field – particularly 6+ years in local government planning – makes her uniquely positioned to help us navigate layered regulations and governing agency approval processes for our projects across the country. Emily received a BA in Urban Studies and a BS in Conservation and Resource Studies from UC Berkeley. While in school, she developed a parallel interest in landscape architecture, which she is exploring by helping with some of our landscape designs. Emily developed a love for the outdoors while growing up in the Monterey Bay area and moved to the Tahoe area for its community of fellow outdoor enthusiasts. She spends her free time skiing, trail running, hiking, practicing plant identification, and gardening in the summer.
